wire wire:

Wire is one of those raw materials you have to have for anything you do. I tend to keep a good selection of
various wire gauges on-hand at all times. I prefer solid for wiring things up at 18-22ga, but high-strand-count
is the way to go for anything thicker. I use 16ga speaker wire (twin-lead) as the current starts to go up, with
quite a lot of things going to the audiopipe 10ga CCA. I very rarely need anything larger than that, so my
stock of 6 and 8 gauge wire is pretty small.

Menards sells these handy "extension cord tenders" that work great to wind up long wire for storage. They
also have two small compartments to store small items in, such as SB50-to-PP45 adapters.

The three reels below are 100ft 10ga CCA (4.6 lbs), 50ft 6ga CU (12.2 lbs), and 100ft 8ga CU. (17.4 lbs!)

I use a propane torch instead of a soldering iron for large wire (8 and 6 gauge) wire and contacts.
